The very best treatment for any type of tendinitis is to rest the affected limb in order to allow it to heal. By constantly repeating the action that gave you tendinitis in the first place, you%26#039;re only perpetuating the inflammation.

Taping your knee, using orthotic inserts in your shoes, and other measures such as this can help prevent tendinitis...but they don%26#039;t do much to allow the tendons to heal. Once they%26#039;re healed, then taping, shoes and orthotics may prevent or delay your symptoms from coming back.

You gotta get those tendons to calm down. Tendinitis means %26quot;inflammation of the tendons%26quot;. So your goal is to calm the inflammation, then deal with what%26#039;s causing it.

Western medicine advocates the use of ice and anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen or Alleve. Ice helps reduce swelling.

Easter medicine advocates the use of heat, accupuncture, and herbs (which are REAL medications) to open the energy channels thus allowing your body%26#039;s natural healing mechanisms to work more effectively. Both forms of treatment have been found to work. You can try one, and if it doesn%26#039;t work for you...try another. But as with all forms of treatment, you should check with your health care provider first before embarking on any new treatment regimes to make certain they won%26#039;t do more harm than good in your individual case.

You may also have a condition called patellofemoral dysfunction where the knee joint is out of alignment with your femur (thigh). This can be caused by foot problems which cause you to shift your weight distribution unevenly and thus in turn make your knee and upper leg go out of alignment. Remember, everything is connected...you have a problem in one area, and eventually, if not treated, you%26#039;ll have problems that cascade throughout your skeletal system.

Have you been checked for patellofemoral joint dysfunction (PFJD)? If you have this, physical therapy can help you learn to realign everything through proper body positioning and exercise to strengthen the supportive structures of your knee so that the pain goes away.

But IF it%26#039;s all stemming from your feet...you gotta start by %26quot;fixing%26quot; the source and then proceed from there.
Reply:use tiger balm. If you stand hot ointments that stuff is great. Also ask your doctor because they have patches they can give you to put on your knee to help has well.
